Addiction

Hypnotherapy & Counselling for Addiction

An addiction* is considered an uncontrollable and obsessive compulsion to repeatedly play out an activity, action or behaviour such as drinking alcohol, taking drugs or gambling. There are numerous addictions that people can develop and consequently, repetition of this negative dependent cycle of behaviour or habit can massively impact an individual’s life in many areas. For example, personal relationships, workplace problems and physical and mental health. Addictions can be categorised as behavioural or chemical. When the fun stops I refer to it as a “self-defeating behaviour“. Therefore, you have already negatively hypnotised yourself and that means you also have the power and ability to positively hypnotise yourself into letting that old and tired destructive, self-defeating behaviour go for good.

* Some addictions require medical input to safely withdraw and this is something that should be discussed with a medical professional before accessing hypnotherapy.
